Dhami govt up for another test as state readies for municipal polls
As announced by the state election commissioner Sushil Kumar municipal elections in Uttarakhand will be held on January 23 while counting of votes will be done on January 25.

Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday attended the Conclave of the Himalayan States in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Also present on the occasion were Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

The Uttarakhand government is hosting the one-day Himalayan Conclave in the famous hill station of Mussoorie.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had said on Saturday, “In a first, eleven Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) State leaders will meet Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman. Chairman of 15th Finance Commission of India N K Singh, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Rajiv Kumar, CEO of Niti Aayog Amitabh Kant and other senior officials of Government of India will attend the conclave in Mussoorie on 28 July to discuss and deliberate the issues faced by IHR states.”
Many of the guests arrived in Mussoorie for the conclave on Saturday. Ahead of the Himalayan state meeting, ex-Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat posted a message for the success of the Himalayan conclave on social media. In his post, Harish Rawat attached a three-page letter providing various suggestions.
